Hello, I'm Tim Boutle, Business Management Consultant and Coach based outside Cambridge.

I guide business leaders throughout East Anglia to fix choke-points that result in frustration and conflict. This creates a smoother, more efficient operation with an engaged workforce. Resulting in increased profitability …..and a happier boss!

Since the late 1990’s, I’ve helped business leaders around the globe improve and grow their organisations.

During this time, I’ve worked as a Business Consultant, Coach, Mentor and Management Consultant. But over the years, one thing has stood out to me: most of the issues I’ve worked on have had one primary cause. That is weak (or non-existent!) management.

Whilst I help clients overcome challenges covering all aspects of their business, I find myself working predominantly on implementing management processes and developing leadership, company culture, and communication. This is because I’ve realised that when you get this right, great things happen. Increased profitability and happier people are just the start; I’ve seen it time and time again. 

As a Business Management Consultant and Coach, I aim to inspire leaders and their teams to thrive. I also enjoy creating more rewarding environments in which to work and do business.

Most of my clients run successful businesses. Yet they know they can improve and are motivated to do so.  They may also have identified key goals for their operation. For example: increasing profitability, stepping back from day-to-day operations, or improving staff moral. So made a conscious decision to introduce a third-party perspective.

I act as catalyst for you and your team by introducing new ideas, processes, and structures utilising 4 key areas:

For over 25 years I have bought, developed, sold, and worked with many organisations in multiple sectors.  I have seen first-hand what contributes towards success and will share this experience with you via an independent, non-biased and honest perspective.

Support and Encouragement

It’s not unusual for leaders to feel isolated and alone.  Particularly, as with most small businesses, when there is not a formal board in place.  I’m your sounding board, motivator, advisor and occasionally a shoulder to cry on!  I’ll support you 24/7 – you’re ‘Maverick’ and I’m ‘Goose’!

Learning and Development

I’ll deliver and help implement processes, knowledge and strategies in your company that I have accumulated from my own business journey.  But not all from my own experience, also what I’ve learnt after working with numerous organisations since the late 1990’s.

Personal Accountability

Like all top performers, having someone hold you accountable is essential.  A frequent ‘nudge’ from an accountability partner will encourage you to do what you need to do to get where we want to be. You’ll achieve your goals way faster than you could on your own.

This has provided me with essential grounding as a Business Management Consultant and Coach.  Which means I don’t rely on idealistic theory or set advice created by a franchise – I’ve actually been there and done it.  And it is this experience that I draw on for my clients. Most Business Consultants and Coaches cannot say the same.

Imagine having an experienced third-party confidant to challenge your habits and thinking.  Then contributing to your organisation with an unbiased, independent, and honest view.  It brings huge value.  Frequently, implementing simple tweaks that you haven’t thought of (or haven’t been disciplined enough to implement!) will result in increased efficiency, profitability, and motivation in the workforce. 

As a Business Management Consultant I tend to see the same issues crop up again and again

Good businesses need strong foundations, defined systems, and motivated teams. All three of these need strong leadership and management.

Inconsistent management and weak leadership leads to a disengaged team with little direction. This is likely to cause frustration and conflict leading to decreased profits and customer retention.

Are you managing your sales proactively or continuously waiting for the phone to ring?  Systems may be broken (or non-existent!), resulting in mistakes which can lead to bad feelings.  Delivery may be inconsistent leading to customers feeling unimpressed.  This will all be holding you back and eventually may cause something to snap.  Because of this, over two thirds of businesses stop trading within their first 10 years.  And we don’t want this to be you!
